Joel and Kati are the faces behind AGAMUI. Hailing from opposite parts of the globe... Joel from Sydney's northern beaches, Australia and Kati from a small bavarian village in Germany they were lucky enough to meet in Indonesia and together they found that a love for surfing and adventure was mutual.

JOEL

Having spent more than 8+ years on the island, exploring every corner of every bay, Joel has a profound knowledge of Simeulue and what it has to offer. His sense of adventure and love of discovery made him follow the unbeaten track, spending countless hours on his KLX, venturing down tiny jungle paths in anticipation of finding undiscovered gems. Joel's love for surfing and for sharing his passion with others, always cheering, motivating, joking and laughing is unparalleled.

KAT

is the duo's creative force, the heart and soul of AGAMUI. Drawing inspiration from her countless travels she has developed a profound love for island aesthetics. Having designed and painstakingly brought to life nearly everything you see at AGAMUI. Her determination and strength far out ways her physical stature. Always greeting people with a warm smile and a laugh that can be heard across the Sanctuary, Kati's warmth and kind nature are always on display. Hailing from Bavaria her ability in the ocean is often a surprise to some. But for those who know she is a pint sized ripper.
